On Thursday, the Four Winds Casino South Bend celebrated the unveiling of its newly added 40,000 square feet of gaming space. This expansion of the casino is a vital component of a larger project, which encompasses the construction of a 23-story hotel and an event center.
The casino was initially launched by the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians in January 2018, and the decision to expand was announced the following year.
During an interview with Inside INdiana Business, Rebecca Richards, the Tribal Council Chairwoman of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi, highlighted the positive impact of the resort complex.
“The extended resort introduces fresh possibilities for South Bend and Northwest Indiana,” Richards explained. “It not only brings prosperity to tribal citizens, but also offers the local community a chance to enjoy new restaurants, entertainment options, meeting and convention facilities, a spa, hotel amenities, and of course, gaming.”
